The absolute number of businesses that employ apprentices peaks at three years in businesses, but in terms of proportion of all businesses operating it peaks at 27% of businesses after 5 years or 60% of all businesses that employ an employee after 3 years.


We define businesses as being in business if they have more than $20,000 in wages and salaries, or business income in a year.
